Obituary for Daniel Joseph Blake

Daniel Joseph Blake, 26, of Clarksburg, departed this life into Eternity on Good Friday, April 10, 2020, to meet his Maker. He was born on October 26, 1993, in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Gil Joseph Blake and Lisa C. Johanns Blake.
He is survived by his paternal grandmother, Lana Jo Furgione Shockey; maternal grandfather, Eibe Johanns, Sr., and his wife Elsa; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Johanns; and his girlfriend Haley Triplett. He is also survived by his uncle, Eibe Johanns, Jr. and his wife Jennifer; his uncle Ronnie Slaton; his aunt Caren Johanns; uncle Eric Blake; his cousins, Michael Slaton, Joey Slaton, Larry Harris, Jr., Bobby Campbell, Cathy Campbell Mincher, and Tommy Campbell, Sr. He is survived by a great-aunt Dorothy McCrae and her husband Harold and a great-great-aunt Alice Bastein; and many other cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his aunt, Tonya Elizabeth Catherine Blake Slaton and his paternal grandfather Gilbert Blake.
Daniel attended Philip Barbour High School and graduated from University High School. He had also attended Feed My Sheep Christian School in Philippi and Christian Ranch in Couch, MS. He was a welder and roofer and planned to start a roofing business in the future. He had won awards in soccer and was a varsity football player in high school at both University High School and Philip Barbour.
Daniel had many friends and was loved by all who knew him. He will be missed by many.
