Obituary for David Gobel
Donald David Gobel, Jr., 63, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021, in Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on January 1, 1958, the son of the late Donald Gobel and Agnes “Tudy” Lacare Gobel.
He is survived by his loving aunts, Patty Lacare Cleavenger and her husband Richard, Bridgeport; and Barbara Federici Gobel, LaPlata, MD; two stepsisters, Dawn Dee Gobel & Dana Diana Ray, Maryland, and several cousins.
David was a great athlete in all sports at Bridgeport High School. He was a jokester and enjoyed life. He was very sociable and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.
A Catholic Rite of Committal Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Holy Cross Cemetery with Father Walt Jagela presiding, where he will be laid to rest with his Mother.
