Obituary for Bettie J. Ford (Giles)

Bettie Jean Ford, 83, of Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at her residence under the care of Amedisys Hospice. She was born in Franklin on September 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Albert Eugene Giles and Eleanor Sota (Lawrence) Giles Stutler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ford, in 2001.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Lexy Ford of Bridgeport; Belinda Hardman of Bridgeport; her three sisters, Mary Sellers of West Milford; Sharon Perry and Judy Carpenter, both of Lost Creek; her very dear friend Joan Smith of Clarksburg; her two sons; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Stutler, and her brother-in-law, Jim Sellers.
Bettie was a graduate of Tygart Valley High School, Class of 1956. She had worked at Montgomery Ward, Garden Fresh, the Division of Highways, and retired from JCPenney.
She was a member of the Harrison County Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed her time playing bingo with her friends and sitting on her porch enjoying her flowers.
