Obituary for Reverend Dr. Kenneth Howe

Reverend Dr. Kenneth K. Howe, 87, of Stuarts Draft, VA, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Westernport, MD, on July 16, 1934, a son of the late Kenneth W. and Emma Geraldine (Coleman) Howe.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rhea (Ball) Howe, whom he married December 2, 1977.
Kenneth is also survived by five children, Kenny R. Howe and his wife Barbara of Barton, MD; Beverly Bean and her husband Gary of Keyser; Doug Howe and his wife Stephanie of Barton, MD; Robert L. Bolton, Jr. of Barboursville; Regina Hose and her husband James of Grafton; 11 grandchildren Nikki Moreau, Jacob Howe, Tiffany Buskirk, Chelsea Howe, Samantha Trenum, David O’Brien, Janel Hunsaker, Paul O’Brien, Robert Bolton, III, Nathan Bolton and Noah Bolton; 8 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, David Howe and his wife Norma of Bedford, PA and Don Howe and his wife Debbie of Belmont, NC.
In addition to his parents Kenneth was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Riggleman and Jeanne Cover and by his daughter-in-law Melissa Bolton.
Kenneth, with a ministry tenure spanning 65 years, is well known for his unique presentation of the Gospel. His ministry has touched the lives of untold numbers as he has preached across the United States, Canada, and Jamaica with mission trips to El Salvador, Guatemala, Russia and Belarus. In addition to his evangelistic efforts, Dr. Howe has pastored churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In 1980 he established and built Bethel Temple Church in Bridgeport where he served for 21 ½ years as founding and senior pastor.
A graduate of Zion Bible Institute in East Providence, RI, Dr. Howe taught Theology and Biblical Doctrine at Export Bible College in Export, PA. He served as President of World Bible Way Fellowship headquartered in Irving, TX for 8 ½ years, retiring in June 2019.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 pm, Tuesday at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave. Bridgeport. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 29, 2021 with Rev. Rory J. Cobbs, Sr. presiding. Interment will follow at Flemington IOOF Cemetery.
