Obituary for Cleavester Ray "Clea" Harris

Cleavester “Clea” Ray Harris, 55, of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Los Angeles, CA on February 27, 1967, the only son of the late Cleavester Harris, Jr. and Jeannetta Ann (McDonald) Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Kandace Kay Knotts-Harris.

Also surviving are two sons, Jordan Harris and Kobe Harris, both of Reseda, CA; four sisters, Jacqueline McDonald of Los Angeles; Charlotte Harris of Los Angeles; Stephanie Harris-Williams and her husband Harry, of York, PA; and Jenise Evans of Los Angeles, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Peggy Knotts (Frank); his brother-in-law, Kevin Knotts and his wife Kim; and 3 nephews and a great-nephew.

Clea was a graduate of Chatsworth High School of Van Nuys, CA. He had worked at AT&T, as a car salesman at the former Bert Wolfe Toyota in Charleston and Urse in Bridgeport; and at Mylan Pharmaceutical in Morgantown.

Clea loved cars, especially Subaru’s, taking care of his yard and flower beds and his beloved dog Karma Kay, and his cat Kitty Wiz. He was Protestant by faith.

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 1 p.m. to 2 pm on Monday, July 18, 2022. A graveside service will be held immediately following the visitation at Woodsdale Memorial Park in Grafton with Willie Owens presiding.
