Debra Boyles Darway, 68, of Wilsonburg, passed away Saturday morning, November 5, 2022, in the United Hospital Center. She was born in Steubenville, OH, on October 11, 1954, a daughter of the late James Douglas Boyles and Mary R. (Robbie) Boyles.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Jack Lee Darway.
Also surviving are her son, Harold James Gain and his wife Andrea of Shock; her daughter, Joy Lea Wade and her husband Bobby of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, James Walker Gain of Jacksonville, IL; Harold Wilson Gain of Wallace; Benjamin Xavier Squires; Brendon Scott Squires and Coraline Rose Wade of Clarksburg. Her brother, Pastor Paul J. Boyles and his wife Paula of Wilsonburg; sister-in-law Patty Boyles of Crystal Lake; and several nieces and nephews complete her family.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, David B. Boyles.
She attended Bristol High School, Class of 1973, where she participated in the Salem-Bristol Band as a majorette. After she left the Postal Service, she was employed by Lowndes Bank in Clarksburg in collections. It was there she met Jack in 1981 and five short months later they began their lives together as husband and wife.
She was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and she and Jack were active members at Horizons Church, Lost Creek. She was an avid reader and studier of the Word. Her hobbies included journaling, swimming, walking, crafting, and her flower garden. Debra was also very active in the lives of her grandchildren. She taught her grandsons how to swim at the YMCA, played games or toys or whatever her grandkids wanted to do. She also never missed a chance to spoil them with love, and to teach and expand their personal passion for Jesus Christ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Debra’s name to the Clarksburg Mission or Horizons Church Missions.
