Obituary for Charles William Jenkins

Charles Jenkins, 74, of East View, passed away on Saturday evening, April 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born November 19, 1939 in Mount Clare a son of the late Steward Jenkins and Pearl Hoover Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Wilma McPherson Jenkins whom he married on September 5, 1960.
He is also survived by two sons, Charles Kevin Jenkins and his wife Dawna of East View and Ricky Jenkins also of East View; one granddaughter, Laura Elaine Jenkins; four sisters, Helen Behun of Ravenna, OH, Dolores McCoy of Strothers, OH, Lucille Carter of Quiet Dell and Katrina Bise of Quiet Dell; and several nieces and nephews; very special friends, Bobby and Peggy Johnson.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers, John, James, Kenneth, Ronald, Randall, Floyd and Earl Jenkins; three sisters, Rosetta Queen, Dorothy Nutter and Ruth Roffenburger and one infant sister, Bonnie; one great grandson, Gabriel Hunter.
Mr. Jenkins was a self-employed carpenter working a great deal in the Clarksburg area remodeling houses and small building projects. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his two sons.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Reverend Terry Wilson presiding. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell.
