The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles Freeman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Humble Servant

I remeber meeting Mr. Freeman when Odessa Freeman Richards, his niece, came into the Bailey Family.  I thought he was very kind, with a gentle laugh and great smile.

I usually caught the city bus, when I started to work, if my Dad did not take me.  I remember Mr. Freeman stopping on his way to work to pick up the ladies who stood in the pouring rain, freezing snow, or muggy mornings, waiting for the bus, that sometimes ran late.  These women, like myself, were grateful for his kindness.   Even when I ran a ittle behind, he would wait.  He never said a cross word to me.  He always had a smile.

I will never forget Mr. Freeman.  I know he is resting now with Jesus.
