Obituary for Thomas D Belasco

Thomas D. Belasco, 78, of Bridgeport passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015. He was born July 8, 1936 in Webster Springs, a son of the late Jack John Belasco and Winifred Kay McCutcheon Belasco.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joanne Pickens Belasco whom he married on April 16, 1959.
He is also survived by his son Thomas David Belasco, II and his wife Elisa of Bridgeport and his daughter Stephanie Ann Maley and her husband Richard of Shinnston; four grandchildren, Travis D. and Tyler D. Belasco, Justin D. Molina and Kelsey J. Maley; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother Jack C. Belasco.
Mr. Belasco attended West Virginia University was employed by CIT Financial for 13 years earlier in his career. He then established his own Business in 1968, Belasco Mobile Home Sales, Inc., which is still in existence today. He helped establish the WV Manufactured Housing Association and was a member for many years.
He loved the water, spending time at Tygart Lake at his cabin and also going to the beach on family vacations. His most important legacy will be his love for his family and the time he spent with them. His family will remember him as a devoted and loving husband, a selfless father , an indulgent papa and a kindhearted father-in-law, and an all-around accepting person
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria VA 22311 , or the Arthritis Association, 1116 Smith Street, Charleston WV 25301.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:00 pm with Reverend Thomas P. Horne presiding. Interment will be in Bridgeport Cemetery.
