Obituary for Catherine Rose "Doll" Hill (Carvelli)

Catherine Rose “Doll” Hill, 86, of Corbin Branch Community in Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday evening, March 15, 2015 in Jane Lew. She was born March 18, 1928 in Clarksburg the only daughter of the late Dominick Carvelli and Constance Oliverio Carvelli.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, George Hill whom she married on November 2, 1963.
She is also survived by two daughters, Cathy Jo Tedder and her husband James Tedder, Sr. of Jacksonville, FL, and Kimberly Ross and her husband William Ross of Midlothian, VA; four grandchildren, Anthony Folio of Pittsburgh, PA, James Tedder, II of Jacksonville, FL, Olivia Ross and Zachary Ross of Midlothian, VA; four great grandchildren, Isiah Folio, Carson Folio, Callie Tedder and Serafina Tedder; and one brother Joseph Carvelli of Clarksburg.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Donna C. Folio; and one brother Anthony Carvelli.
Mrs. Hill was a graduate of WI High School and worked as a waitress for Minard’s Spaghetti Inn and also as a cashier at the Superette. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and she loved to cook and especially liked to make Christmas cookies. She worked several jobs around the Clarksburg area but her first priority was to be a caregiver to her family.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 2-8 pm, where a prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 317 E. Main Street, Bridgeport on Friday at 10:00 am Father Benedict Kapa as Celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
