Obituary for Juanita Marie Lake (Radcliff)

Juanita Marie Radcliff Lake, 72, of Bridgeport, went home to be with the Lord Friday evening, July 17, 2015 in Clarksburg. She was born March 5, 1943 in Sutton, WV a daughter of the late Bernard “Rube” Radcliff and Rosie Smith Radcliff.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Robert E. Lake, whom she married on June 17, 1986.
She is also survived by four children, Cindy Hefner Clark and companion Dave McDaniel of Bridgeport, James Hefner, Jr. and his wife JoEllen of Grafton, Becky Hefner Blair and her husband Jimmy of Bridgeport and Robert Andrew Lake and his wife Holly, of Lancaster, PA; seven grandchildren, Richard “Ricky” Clark, Sarena “Sara” Clark, Trey Hefner, Halee Hefner, Korena Blair, Macey Lake and Brycen Lake: four great grandchildren, Tessa Clark, Sierra “Nic” Clark, Brandon Clark and Jacob Clark; one sister, Barbara Radcliff Henline and sister-in-law Kathy Radcliff; a special friend who she thought of as a daughter, Robin Feathers; several nieces and nephews, family at Clarksburg Nursing Rehab, and many close friends that will miss her.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Kenny Radcliff, Betty Radcliff Eisenhardt, Anna “Mickie” Radcliff Waters and her twin brother and sister, Jackie and Jule Radcliff.
Juanita attended the University of Florida for two years and she was a Dietary Manager for 25 years working for Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab. She was the past president of the American Legion Post 68 Ladies Auxiliary, past president of the Dietary Managers Association. She enjoyed playing cards, games, fishing and spending time with her family. She enjoyed being with people and working with the elderly.

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Reverend Thomas P. Horne and Reverend Cliff West presiding. Interment will be in West Virginia National Cemetery, Pruntytown.
