Obituary for Betty Jo Lynn (Goad)

Betty Jo Lynn, 84, of Clarksburg, WV departed from this life on Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was born on November 3, 1932 in Spanishburg, WV and was the daughter of John L. and Nola Archer Goad.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Debra Manchin, of Bridgeport, WV, two grandsons: David B. Butterworth along with wife Maria, of Charleston, WV, as well as Joseph N. Manchin, of Pittsburgh, PA. Also in Charleston, WV, are two great grandsons: Robert. B. Butterworth and William D. Butterworth. Betty is also survived by three siblings: Reva Akers, of Woodbridge, VA, Mary Warren of Salem, VA, and June Robinette of Salem, VA.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert B. Lynn of Clarksburg, WV. They married on June 24th, 1952 and he passed on February 28th, 2017. Six siblings also preceded her in death: Julius L. Goad, Gay Goad, Trixie Honaker, Athlene Ross, Gladys Brown, Marvis Blankenship, and Sam Goad.
Betty Graduated from Spanishburg High School, was employed at J.C. Penney and retired from EDS Corporation (formerly Clarksburg Data Center). Betty loved spending time with her family and friends, and aiming for a strike with her local bowling league.
The family wishes to show their gratitude to all caregivers and the entire staff at River Oaks Nursing Home for their tender loving care.
