John D. “Jay” Emilio, Sr., 59, of Gregory’s Run Road, Clarksburg, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 24, 2011, in Middlesex, PA. He was born on November 2, 1951, in Uniontown, PA, a son of the late Mary C. Emilio, who died in 1989. He was the loving husband to his wife, Emma L. Warner Emilio, whom he married August 3, 2002. Also surviving are his children, J.D. Emilio, Jr., and his wife Wendy, Canton, Michigan; Patrick Emilio, Uniontown, Pennsylvania; Tessie DeBarr-Swafford and her husband Dan, Clarksburg; Paul “Buck” DeBarr and his wife Joanne, Clarksburg; and his beloved grandchildren, Adam, Julie, Aly, Jamie, Michael, Gabe, and Eli. Three brothers, Joseph Emilio and his wife Mary, Bridgeport; Almon “Bro” Tressler and his wife Donna, Hopwood, PA; Ralph Emilio, Butler, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews complete his family. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary “Sis” Louise Emilio Onifer, who died in 1997. Jay was the owner and operator of Emilio Trucking for many years, a job that he enjoyed. He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army, serving from 1973 – 1985.
