In September of 1997, Burnside Funeral Home opened its doors to begin building a new tradition of elegant, yet affordable funeral service for North Central West Virginia. Longtime Bridgeport businessmen and residents Arnett and Scott Burnside saw a need for a funeral home that would ease a grieving family’s burden by giving a comfortable, spacious and warm atmosphere with elegant and affordable services available for everyone’s financial means. Hundreds of families and many visitors have passed through our doors and have come to know our reputation for excellence with our large, well appointed rooms, many convenient amenities and a staff of friendly, knowledgeable professionals.
