The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Paul Hall can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Neighbors

Paul and I worked together at the Power Company for many years.  He was an excellent employee and could always be counted on when times were tough.  But, he was also my neighbor in Bridgeport for about 40 years. Paul and Mary were great neighbors and great people.  He will be missed by all of us that knew him.

One funny story:  During one of the large floods we had in the area, I was taking some phone calls from customers who were out of power.  I was told the water was coming into the Buckhannon Sub-Station.  I called Paul at home and told him of the concern.  He just laughed and said "Don't worry about that, it will never flood." These old timers, like Paul, knew we office guys didn't have a clue about lines and sub-stations.  Well, I called him back a few hours later and told him there was something like six feet of water in the sub-station and it had just gone off line.  He said something like "Holy Crap".  Paul didn't cuss.  So, I guess, an old Navy man learned something that day.  He was one of the "good guys" who served his country proudly.
