Fond Memories
As I look back to my Berry Run days of childhood and beyond, Kate is one that I can always remember as smiling and happy and trying to see what she can do for everyone. I recall beINg around 6 or so and beaing shy (Yes I was once) and having to sing a part in the Church ChrisTmas pageant. When the time came for me to steoout and sing my little solo I simply froze. I remember a few of the ladies, including Kate if I recall correctly, pulling me aside and telling me that if I was a brave girl and sang my part that I would be rewarded. I went out and sang loudly. "I sang the dove from the rafters high. We cooed him to sleep, my love and I.... " With the gifts given out on Christmas I received a beautiful lilt the doll that I treasured. I am sure she had something to do with it.
A wonderful lady for sure.who had a welcoming way that made everyone feel special as wel. A sweet and gentle spirit who will be missed by those left behind. We know without a doubt that she has gone to her reward in heaven . Sincere condolences to the family. Rest in peace our neighbor and friend. I smile just thinking of you!
